Last week, we really wanted to check out the botanical gardens. By the time we got up and ready, we would only have an hour there... So, we decided to walk around downtown Denver instead until we were ready to go out to eat and we'd go to the botanical gardens another day. When we got home that night, a friend of mine said we would definitely need more than an hour at the gardens so, in the end, I'm glad we saved it for another day!
Walking around downtown Denver was... interesting. It smelled a lot like weed. Like, a lot. Other than that, it was nice to walk around and people watch. What I liked the most was the random piano's set up that people were playing. The highlight of the day was definitely stopping in at Krispy Kreme for some donuts! Once we picked out our donuts the cashier said, "Happy Mother's Day! Don't worry about paying!" Aaaaand she made me cry. Free donuts! Heck. Yes.
