William Michael: 3 Months Old

I went to take pictures of William for his 3 month post on Thursday... and he was NOT happy. Emma was jumping on the bed, and he kept trying to look at her! I was just frustrated and decided I'd try again yesterday. I'm so glad I took new pictures while Emma was down for her nap, and I made sure Will was fed and changed. He was much happier today thank goodness!! Total mom win.

I'm not gonna lie... life with these two little ones has been tough on me lately. I feel like I've been on survival mode the past few weeks, and I have such a hard time when William is crying and fussy. His little cries just pierce my heart! Lately he hasn't been sleeping well, puking constantly.. and it is very draining. Good thing I love this little guy!!

Joel and I say all the time how happy and smiley William is. Maybe we don't remember, but I feel like he is more smiley and alert than Emma was at this age. He smiles, sticks out his tongue, and straightens his legs whenever he sees me! My mama heart just melts!

What I find interesting about little Will is he rarely falls asleep eating. He has to burp SO MUCH, so he has to burp right after eating instead of falling asleep. It's quite frustrating, especially at 4 in the morning when he's falling asleep and I know he needs to burp first. I usually end up sitting up and patting and patting and patting until he wakes up a little more to burp, then he falls straight back asleep.

My Father-in-law says that William is an old soul in a little body, and I definitely agree with him. William is trying to hard to do things beyond what his little body can do. He's always digging his elbows into me trying sit up if he's at any kind of angle. I always tell him, "Staaaahp. Can't you just relax and sit with me without trying to sit up??" William also doesn't like to sit down, he ALWAYS wants to stand, especially when I sit him down to burp him after nursing. He is so strong, that my arms are seriously sore from tying to hold him down.

I can tell little Will loves Emma so much already, even if she's too busy to notice him ;) I've captured a few moments of them interacting together, but that's quite rare! I hope to see their relationship grow more and more the older William is! And as he gets more attentive and can play more of course!

I love the way William's hand finds a place to rest on my chest while he eats during the night. I love that I know exactly which cry is specific for me when he needs me. I love that William sleeps best on me, even though sometimes he can't because I need to take care of Emma. I love that I am the one to comfort him. I love the way he tries so hard to talk to me, his baby coo's are too sweet. Oh how I love having a baby again, someone to constantly cuddle and kiss. Love you baby William!! Life with you in our little family is getting better and better.
