This weekend we've been in Utah celebrating Emma turning three and my little sister Cambria turning seven! We decided on a Moana theme... because Moana is seriously the greatest. And I'm just happy Emma is obsessed with something else other than Mickey Mouse or Frozen. #thankgoodness
We've been watching/listening to Moana so much lately, Joel has been waking up and falling asleep to Moana songs. I'm so glad we went with the Moana theme because judging the look on Emma's face when she saw the cake... so worth it. I told my sister, "I would name the look on her face pleasantly surprised."
Being around family is so wonderful, we just wish we could be with our Swedish family at the same time. Joel and I knew how hard it would be to always have a family separated... we just didn't expect it would be this hard :(
Today I realized I unintentionally buy Emma a birthday dress every year. I think I'll keep up this tradition I accidentally made! This dress is from Old Navy and I've been dying to see her in it. How cute is the back of her dress?! So weird to say we have a three-year-old.
The weather in Utah has been AMAZING. These pictures are a small glimpse into how I hope the summer will be. Bubbles and baby bellies ;) The weather has been in the 70-80's (around 22-26°C!!!) and it was so nice to send the kids outside to play while we worked on the birthday party/food. Seeing their dirty feet after playing made me so happy. Emma has Cam and Berkley to play with, and I am so grateful she has them to run off and play with. As a mom, I love to sit and play with her but there is something special about their relationship and how well they play imagination together.
Love the way she's holding her present with her foot! |
I can't decide what I love most. His cheeks, the dribble on his chest, or his belly. |
His new obsession: dogs |
His belly though... |
