Before Joel's vacation started, we wrote a list of things we wanted to do and accomplish. I was NOT going to let this vacation go to waste and regret not doing anything! I guess we already bought a car, so that's quite accomplishing.... but still. On Joel's list he wanted to visit
Marstrand, a place I had never heard of or been to. The name sounded quite boring, so I wasn't too keen on going. When he said there is a huge fortress on this island, the idea sounded a bit better.
We checked out what the weather would be like this week, and Monday was the only day it wasn't going to rain soooo we packed up and left right after Emma woke up from her nap. I didn't really know what to expect, but let me just say... this place is one of the most picturesque places I've ever seen. I'm not exaggerating. I couldn't stop taking pictures, and we were in awe the whole time.
Once we took a ferry over to the small island where the fortress was, we immediately smelled pizza and knew we had to eat some of that deliciousness while we were there! Before we walked up the hill to the fortress we walked around the little island looking at all the beautiful buildings and enjoying the sun! Sorry if there are so many pictures, I had such a hard time narrowing down to my favorites.

When Emma says "ball", I can't tell if she's saying ball or pappa because she says, "ball ball!" Let's just say she basically jumped out of my arms and spotted this ball from quite a far distance!

After walking around a little bit, we decided it would be smart to get pizza before touring the fortress. Emma was in such a weird and hyper mood and was cracking us up for all of dinner! |
