Last week Joel and I bought a car! Oh gosh have we LOVED it. Sometimes we'll go out onto our balcony and just stare at our car. Or we'll randomly turn to each other and say, "Let's just go for a drive just to be in our new car." This new sense of freedom is unbelievable! We are so proud of ourselves for saving up our money specifically to get a car. #realadultsstatus Our goal was to have a certain amount by September, but we ended up being able to set more money aside than we thought we could! We decided to buy a car now during Joel's vacation since we had time to look. This feeling of setting a goal and achieving it has been the best.
Our first day with our new car we went and bought ice cream of course. We went home and put Emma down for her nap, and wanted to go out and do something SO bad. We just got a new car, we had to go out right?! The weather was being poopy, but we decided to go to the beach anyway... just because we could!! We drove to a beach about 20 minutes away, and when we got there it was cold. There was no way I was going near the beach because I am such a chicken, so we decided to let Emma play on the playground for a little bit while we decided what we should do.
Emma thought she was big like these girls and kept following them around
Emma kept trying to run away from us while laughing hysterically. I have a lot of pictures of Joel running after her haha
These two peas in a pod... Emma loves to be thrown around by Joel. And Joel loves throwing her around ;)
Flirting with everyone of course
Right after this picture was taken our plans changed. When Emma climbed to the top, her hand slipped and her front tooth cut into her top lip. Blood was everywhere, and poor little Emma was miserable. We ended our night taking by Emma to the ER, just to make sure her lip didn't need stitches. Luckily she didn't! Cuddling with me while watching Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood helped comfort her a little ;)
Times like these where my heart aches and wish I could take away her pain! I feel so blessed to be her mamma and that I am able to comfort her somehow.. and that she wants me ;)
"You is kind... you is smart... you is important."
Mollie Herrey
I grew up in little Morgan, Utah. I married my Swedish husband in the Copenhagen, Denmark LDS temple and we now currently live on the west coast of Sweden where Joel grew up. Emma Elaine was born on March 8th, 2014, and we most recently had little William Michael join our family on November 4th, 2015. I am a stay at home mom, and my future dream is to have my own painting studio where I can paint and stay home with our kids. We love living life together!
The Husband
My soft hearted husband who is obsessed with anything Crossfit. Joel has a dream to become a personal trainer and someday open his own CrossFit gym!
The Toddler
Our Emma Elaine isn't so little anymore! She is talking more and more each day, and we love her more than words can express. Her favorite thing is to say bye bye to EVERYTHING. Bye bye water. Bye bye food. Bye bye stickers. You name it, and she has probably said bye bye to it ;) At 2 years old, Emma is especially obsessed with the characters from Frozen. Still. She lines her dolls up to feed them food and then will put them to bed and go night night. She also loves balls, cars, and climbing on anything she can. Papa is her jungle gym and momma is her comforter.
The Baby
Little William is constantly wiggly and he immediately starts grooving and dancing whenever he hears music. Big sister makes him laugh the hardest, Papa is the funniest, and mamma is the cuddliest. He eats and poops well sooo he's basically the perfect baby ;) William only says Mama when he's mad or hungry and he can crawl lightning fast ;)
