Bumpdate: week 35

How far along? 35 weeks!! Getting closer.... Can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone.

Size of the baby? 46 cm / 2400 grams / 5.5 lbs / a honeydew

Weight gain/loss? 10 kilos or 22 lbs.

Sleep? Still pretty good!! I feel like I lucked out with sleeping good. Sleep was really bad a few might ago because I had run out of my heartburn medicine. After Joel and I said our nightly couple prayer together he zonked out (of course haha) and I went back and forth between sitting up for a while to laying back down.... For a few hours. The next day I told Joel I HAD to get more heartburn medicine because that last night I slept horribly! We got some more so it's all good now :)

Best moment of the week? Once again there have been so many good moments this week!! I'll try to keep this short.. Haha. Last Monday we had our first parenting group thing where we met other couples with due dates around the same time as us! Except Joel couldn't come because he had to work, so I brought my wonderful mother-in-love to be with me and help translate if needed (which was verrrry much needed since everyone was throwing words around that aren't everyday words I know). On Tuesday we visited the hospital where I will deliver our little babe! It was nice to see where everything was and to have a tour and such. Joel and I just kept on giving each other the "This is REALLY happening soon!" look. The one thing I don't like about this hospital is how long the walk is to get to the labor and delivery part. I waddled all the way there and thought, "This is the longest walk ever! I can barely do it without being in labor." Let's just say I will definitely need a wheelchair ;)
This past Monday my sister-in-law had their baby!! I can't wait to see the little dude tomorrow. I'm also nervous to see him because I know I'll want my baby out that much more! That Monday night we had our second parenting group meeting where we watched couples in the different stages of labor. At first I thought it might be awkward or something to watch, but it was actually emotional and kind of touching. Joel even said later that night, "If I am getting that emotional over a movie of people giving birth, I can't even imagine how emotional I'm going to be when it is our turn!"
Then yesterday I had an appointment with my midwife! It went super well. She took my blood pressure, iron, and weight which all looked good... then we talked about what is going to be happening the next few weeks!! She then tried to feel where the baby's head was positioned. All of the sudden she looks up at me with this shocked look on her face and says, "This baby's head is fixed and very low." She said with how the baby is positioned and how my body is preparing so much for labor that there is a high chance the baby will be born early if not by my due date! Which was nice to hear because I was worried about going over my due date. Not so much of the pain and waiting for the baby and such... more because I wanted to spend time with my baby before my parents come.. try to get the whole breastfeeding thing down and all that fun stuff. They are coming exactly two weeks after my due date! I'm sure I'm just over thinking everything and I know it will all workout as it should :)

Movement? Yep!! Still pretty active, especially around 1 am when she gets the hiccups. It's super cute, but at the same time I want to sleep.. haha. Plus I can tell she is reeeeally running out of room so when she is really awake it isn't the most comfortable feeling. I do love it when she moves though and I know I will miss it so much once she's born.

Food cravings/aversions? Nutella. Hehe :) When I was at the store the other day I realized I hadn't bought some in over a year and wanted it SUPER BAD. So I bought some... without telling Joel so I could have it all to myself ;)

Labor signs? Oh yes. Which makes me nervous! I feel like there is so much my body is preparing right now, and I am completely exhausted. I take a nap every day basically. I figured I can so why not? I'm not looking after any older kids right now, so I'm taking full advantage of this first pregnancy :)

Swollen? My wedding ring no longer fits.. I don't dare to put it on anymore! Also my shoes are a bit snug which is kind of annoying... I guess I'm not too swollen so I can't complain!

What I miss? Being able to walk. Which is tough because we don't have a car and I walk everywhere... I seriously waddle so bad because I'm in so much pain "down there".. (sorry if that is too much TMI)

What I am looking forward to? Seeing what our little girl looks like!! Joel and I are dying to know and meet her..

Nursery? Her bed is all ready to go! I'm just working on some crafts to make it a little more cute.

Emotions? They are ok haha. Still pretty much the same... I'll have a few breakdowns here and there but I'm good 95% of the time!

Christmas 2013

This year for Christmas was spent with Joel's family! I attempted to capture all the little details that my mother-in-love is so good with. She is the cutest.

These first pictures are from a few weeks before Christmas when Joel and I celebrated Lucia by making the Lucia buns!

Now onto Christmas Eve :)

Joel's younger brother Christopher helping out with the food.

This is Eva-Linda's traditional knäck she does every year.. super delicious!

While everyone was busy with the food, I was bored and had too much fun taking pictures of myself and my Christmas baby bump.

My cute cook. I'm kind of obsessed with him.

Isn't this place just so cozy??

One of the sweetest girls I know! Benjamin's girlfriend Karolina.

Joel's youngest brother got a new game for Christmas.. and of course all the boys had to run downstairs and try it out.

These next pictures are from Christmas day! We invited the missionaries over and spent the day with them :)

I made the sisters bows and scarves! They were pretty excited about them :) I put up a million pictures of them because I love their faces!!

Aaaaand to end with a picture of my big belly.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, we sure did!!
