Baby #2 Bumpdate: Week 17

Dear 2nd Trimester: I LOVE YOU. I have been feeling so great. Other than feeling tired (no wonder... I'm growing a human and chasing around my other little human) I feel awesome. I did experience ligament pain for the first time yesterday, and let me say that was NOT fun. I would much rather have contractions, haha! I've heard about ligament pain but didn't quite understand it, so when I felt this pain on the side of my stomach I thought something was seriously wrong. Good thing the babe is ok! I feel it squirming around once in a while, and it is the best feeling ever. I love it when Emma is laying on me while cuddling and the little baby is kicking her telling her to get off because it is getting squished... haha sorry little baby!

I'm going through a LOT of emotions right now. Even ask Joel... actually, don't ask Joel haha. I feel like I do so great for a long time, then I just completely crash. I start thinking, "I am such  a bad mom. I'm having a hard time taking care of Emma. How am I going to take care of two kids??" Then I usually cry a lot, sleep it off, and hopefully feel better the next day. Or sometimes I start thinking of little Emma and how nice it is having one baby. She sleeps great, eats great, and poops great. She's pretty easy at this age right now, aaaand we're about to throw a little newborn in the mix. I have the hardest time thinking how she will handle having to share me. She is such a mommas girl! I know it will workout somehow, I just feel bad for her I guess since she has my attention 100% right now. I try to have a good perspective... I am most excited to see their relationship grow, love, and play together. That is something I cannot wait for!!

A week ago we tried taking some pictures outside, and I wanted Emma to be in them with me... too bad she didn't ;) #fail

Library Party With Cousins, and a Park Visit!

What a week it's been so far! Emma and her cousins played at the library on Tuesday. Good thing there were 3 adults! One adult per kid to keep an eye on ;) The library was fun to let the kids loose... but then we had to chase them all over the place! It was a little too big to keep an eye on the kids haha. Emma had just learned to walk on her cast, so she was happy to be mobile again. Lucky for me she wasn't too fast!

Emma and Jonah had a hard time sharing the slide. Well, Emma did ha! She didn't understand the concept of walking around to climb up the little stairs to slide down. She kept trying to climb up when Jonah was sliding down!

This library is too cute. There is a little cave where you can read and listen to book being read.

Lately Emma has been pointing and reaching her arms out to me, wanting me! She melts my heart!!

Yesterday Emma and I ventured out to the park! Luckily she got her cast off a couple days ago and was able to walk and climb around as much as she wanted. She played for two straight hours! When I went to bring her inside she basically told me off, crying and crying wanting to stay out. I have never seen her so mad at me before!! I couldn't tell if she had been out too long and over did it?... Or if she was tired and hungry? Probably everything! Well, she had a blast and a half anyways. Now I'm terrified to bring her inside after being outside again!

I had a super hard time narrowing down pictures... so sorry there are so many ;)

Poor girl, I really need to get her a sun hat!!

So much concentration climbing the stairs ;)

If only I had a dollar every time Emma fell over... ;)

Emma was beyond happy to be in the swing! Every time I took a picture of her she was giggling and laughing.

Her eyelashes... I get so jealous every time I look at her! She has my dark eyelashes and Joel's length.

Enjoying the sun, like a Swede ;)

Our 3rd Apartment

WE ARE MOVING! At the end of May... to a bigger apartment where Emma will have her own room, yay!!! Before we started packing today, I took a few pictures of our apartment so I can remember where we lived for a little more than a year and a half. Even though we are staying in the same apartment building, just moving around the corner the new apartment will be super similar... I thought I'd take pictures anyways ;)

I had lots of plans of what to hang up in our room, but our walls were SOLID cement and we couldn't hang anything up :(

This wall is my favorite in the whole apartment. I love how it came together, plus everyone who visits loves looking at the pictures and finding out the story behind it.

We have a cute little balcony. Emma loves to go out there and watch the big kids playing in the middle of our apartment complex.

Don't look too closely at our bookshelf.. haha! We had to hurry and baby proof the bottom two rows, thus resulting in a messy bookshelf ;)

This is a painting I did for Joel. You can see the rest of my paintings and art HERE
