WHAT DOES LOVE MEAN???

What Does Love Mean? See How 4-8 Year-Old Kids Describe Love. And I LOVED it, so I couldn't help but share :)

When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That’s love.
Rebecca- age 8

“When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.”
Billy – age 4

“Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.”
Karl – age 5

“Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.”
Chrissy – age 6

“Love is what makes you smile when you’re tired.”
Terri – age 4

“Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.”
Danny – age 7

“Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss”
Emily – age 8

“Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.”
Bobby – age 7

“If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,”
Nikka – age 6

Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.”
Noelle – age 7

“Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.”
Tommy – age 6

“Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.”
Elaine-age 5

“Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.”
Chris – age 7

“Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.”
Mary Ann – age 4

“I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.”
Lauren – age 4

“When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.”
Karen – age 7

“Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it’s gross.”
Mark – age 6

“You really shouldn't say ‘I love you’ unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.”
Jessica – age 8

And the final one — Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge.
The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.
The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.
Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman’s yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, “Nothing, I just helped him cry”

Blocked Brain

One of our few good days here, and we got to go swimming.... obviously by our swimsuits haha

Gothenburg- 2nd biggest town in Sweden by population
Läckö Slott

My favorite little shadow

I'm not in the mood to blog, but whatever.
I don't have much to say, but I'm thinking, "I should have TONS to say! I'm in Europe for the whole summer, and having a blast. Why don't I have anything to say about my experiences??"
Oh well.
I just decided I will write whatever comes to my mind, so here it goes and it might not be much.

Here are a couple more things I have learned:
-save even more money. I thought I would be spending my money. Since I had been saving for so long, it's even harder to spend money now!
-If I did learn anything from not-being-in-school, I did learn how to budget. Maybe too well, because I can't spend any of my money now!!
-It is awesome meeting Americans in Europe, because it is so random. I met the nicest lady last night who grew up in Farmington!! Very random. We talked for a while, it was sooo nice. We also met someone from Ohio? at the famous glass-blowing-place that is 5 hours away from where we live.
-The glass blowing place was super cool! People are so talented.
-If I come across as rude when I come home, don't take offence. The Swedes are very private? Reserved? I guess is a good word. When I first got here I wanted to make eye contact with everyone, and say hello like I would in Utah. Nope, not here! I think their mentality is, "Well, why say hello when we're never going to see the person ever again?" Kind of thing. Now I'm use to not looking at anyone, so I apologize in advance for when I return (which is 6 weeks this coming FRIDAY!!!)
Gorgeous, aren't we??

-I really miss my family. A lot.
-No one eats out. And if they do, it is very rarely. It is so expensive! In the states you can usually find a cheap place if you would like, ya know? But here the cheapest is probably 20+ dollars! I think that is expensive haha.
- I love the food here! I don't know if that's because it is new to me, or if it's really really really good. Both probably!
- I thought Utah weather was unpredictable, man was I wrong. Here it is much, much worse! Completely unpredictable. Summer was supposed to be here by now I would have thought. Nope. Still very cold and very wet. BUT very beautiful!
- Everyone is OBSESSED with soccer, more than I could have ever dreamed of.

WELL. That is all I can think of at the moment. Until next time :)
This is my friend Viktor! They can't get their drivers license here until they're 18, and like everything else..... it is super expensive! This is the hair cut he gave himself for his picture. And he is my friend. Sometimes (most of the time) out of pity ;)

bob marley studio artwork thumbnail Bob Marley quote How to love a Woman

“You may not be her first, her last, or her only. She loved before she may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters? She’s not perfect – you aren’t either, and the two of you may never be perfect together but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a part of her that she knows you can break – her heart. So don’t hurt her, don’t change her, don’t analyze and don’t expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she’s not there.”

I somehow survived a whole day of Astrid Lindgren World

I need to stop procrastinating.
Right.....
Now.
I have so much to catch up on! I guess I shall be giving you the basics once again.
And sorry if I keep on apologizing too much! I do that too often.
Lets seeee....
We we went to Gothenburg and looked around! Its a huge city with a TON of malls which are of course super expensive so we don't buy anything...
This statue is some king I can't remember.

This past Sunday was Mother's day! So we got roses. In the states we celebrate it a lot and get our mothers presents, but they didn't here.
I think they just named a day Mothers day and thats about it! It made me sad that they don't do much, it made me really appreciate my dear mother :)

Now in this picture we traveled 2 hours and a car ferry away, to the ocean under my feet. And yes these stairs were unstable, I almost fell in.

In this city (that I can't pronounce or remember) there was a park in the middle of it! With this cool statue thing.

And this was the city we visited! It was darling.
